Family HighlightsThis vacation truly was one where our family went to sleepaway camp. From cabins on a lake to campfires, we experienced sleepaway camp with our kids, which made it more fun. |

Dining HighlightsFamilies eat buffet style bfast (indoor) & lunch (outdoor) together. For dinner (family style in dining room), kids ages 4+ can eat with their kids camp group or with their families. The food was delicious w/a wide variety of foods. |
EntertainmentEach night there is entertainment. Our first night there was a big carnival followed by a circus show. The second night, there was a show that had each kids camp group perform a dance, followed by dancing and a campfire. |
Local TransportationAlthough we drove to Club Getaway from Long Island, I do believe that there is a train station closeby the resort and that they will provide a shuttle to and from the train station if you do not have a car. |
BabysittersThe kids mini camp for ages 4+ was great. They do all different activities during the day and the counselors were great with the kids. |
PricesClub Getaway is all inclusive and pricing is very reasonable. The only additional cost is alcoholic beverages, although wine is included with dinner. There is a bar by the lake making frozen drinks and serves beer, ranging in price from $4 - $7. |

Fun For KidsThere are so many activities here including zip line, bungee trampoline, trapeze, rock climbing and all the activities on the lake, that the kids had a great time and we were all always on the go. My kids liked best being on the lake, swimming and going around the lake in a kayak. |
Fun For Mom & DadAs adults, we enjoyed the activities. We did rock climbing (rock wall), zip line, bungee trampoline and another couple we were with did the trapeze. We were able to do each activity multiple times and spent a good amount of time on the lake, just enjoying being on vacation. |

Pros & ConsPros If your family likes to always have something to do, this is a great vacation for you at a relatively inexpensive price. During these family weeks, there were tons of kids there, yet the resort did not seem overcrowded and there were rarely lines for any of the activities. The food also was very good, which is a rarity in resorts like this where they are cooking for many people at one time. The staff was also very accommodating, friendly and helpful.
Cons
The accommodations were very rustic. Basically you should use the cabins just to sleep and nothing more. They are very small and the bathrooms/showers are extremely small. The only other thing was that there were a lot of bugs and bees. The staff said that they don't really like to spray because of the chemicals, which is good, but everywhere you walked, there were a lot of gnats and bees. |
