Our Short Tour
Our guided, 25-minute "short tour" is specifically designed for our guests who are short on time or who may not be physically able to particpate in the entire walking tour (wheel chair accessible). The tour begins with an elevator ride down 21 stories (210 feet) to the Chapel of the Ages cavern, the scene of numerous weddings throughout the years and large enough to hold two football fields. Your guide will tell you about the history of these awesome Caverns, including information regarding areas you will not visit.
You will view Selenite and limestone crystals, our unique "winter crystals," and Helecite crystals (a very rare form of Selenite). See the "teacup handles," red-wall limestone and crystals, and more.

Grand Canyon Caverns can keep you busy and happy whether you have two hours or a week:
Two hours: you must take our great regular tour or our short tour of the largest dry caverns in the United States... millions of years in the making. These tours are guided on well lighted trails after a comfortable elevator ride. After your underground adventure you have time for a meal or snack and a few minutes in our unique gift shop.
Half a day: add our exciting explorer tour to rooms and passages off the trails deep inside the caverns. If this is too physical an adventure, try our trail from the cavern building to the motel in either direction. Take a break on our beautiful screened patio overlooking miles of nature¹s best scenery.
Spend the day and a night: enjoy true home cooking for all your meals starting with a great country breakfast and ending with desert and cocktails at the restaurant or in our juniper room lounge's live music on the weekends.
In between, walk some of our 800 acres; enjoy our kid¹s play lands, formal gardens, rodeo arena, Indian village and miles of views in all directions. Whether you stay in our beautifully treed camp ground with old time privacy, up-to-date full hook-ups RV park or family friendly newly renovated motel, you sleep well in the blissful quiet completely away from highway. Finish your evening with a visit to our night sky observation deck: carefully chosen for its lack of artificial light; you¹ve never seen a sky like ours - it will change your vision of the universe.
Two days: add a visit down diamond creek road in the morning. Get permits and directions from our neighbors the Hualapai Nation right next door to us - our motel desk will direct you. Diamond creek road is 17 miles of well maintained hard packed gravel road leading to the shores of the Colorado River 4,000 feet below the rim of Grand Canyon. This is the only road in all 280 miles of north or south rim Grand Canyon: a favorite of Teddy Roosevelt!
Upon your return its time to enjoy our beautiful heated pool.
Three days: horseback riding at Grand Canyon caverns or on the surrounding ranches can be arranged in advance through our motel desk at 928-422-3223.
River rafting the lower 70 miles of the Grand Canyon on the mighty Colorado River is the one day trip of a lifetime. Reservations are essential: talk to our motel desk at 928-422-3223.
Hike, horseback ride or helicopter into the land of the bluegreen waters at Supai in the bottom of Grand Canyon. Hike or horseback in and helicopter out for an amazing day. Reservations essential; our motel desk staff will help guide you at 928-422-3223.
Four days: extend your waterfalls visit at Supai to include overnight at Supai in their lodge or campground. World class swimming below the various thundering waterfalls each unique..and of course the bluegreen water.
Five days: skywalk is the weirdest must see thing ever. If you have the time, it's an all day trip. We¹ll give you the scoop at the motel desk.
Six days: drive east to Seligman and Williams for a great day of small town fun and RT 66 history.
Seven days: you are working too hard on this vacation, enjoy the pool, the trails, every bit of Grand Canyon Caverns historic and up-to-date fun. See you in the lounge!!!
